India issues comprehensive advisory to students planning to study medicine in China

India has issued a comprehensive advisory to citizens planning to study medicine in China. The government has warned about the challenges they may face after studying in China, including low pass percentage, the need to learn the official spoken language there and the stringent rules for practising as a doctor in India. The Indian Embassy in Beijing issued the advisory in the form of answers to queries received from students. US issues record 82,000 student visas in India

The US Embassy said on Thursday it had issued a record 82,000 student visas in India in the past year, with more Indian students going to study in the US than from any other country in the world. This comes amid reports of long waiting periods for short-term business and tourism (B1/B2) visas to the US, with the earliest appointments available only in mid-2024.
